Coronavirus (COVID-19) Statement (updated 15th June)

Update: 15th June 2020

We have been keeping up-to-date with England Athletic’s guidance on return to activity following the Coronavirus pandemic. In light of their latest guidance, which came into effect on 1st June 2020, we are now in a position to offer limited runs for those who wish to get back out onto the trails.

The following measures will be in place following their guidance for Coaches and Leaders (https://www.englandathletics.org/athletics-and-running/news/guidance-update-step-2/)

  • The ratio will be 1:5. We will only be taking five bookings per run.
  • Social distancing will be in place and runners will be asked to remain at least 2m apart throughout the run.
  • Hand sanitiser will be available.
  • We encourage all runners to bring a mini first aid kit, along with their own hand sanitiser, as we will be unable to undertake any minor first aid, if required.
  • We will unfortunately be unable to provide any spare gels, energy bars etc so please ensure that you bring enough food and fluids with you.

Full details will be communicated to runners via email before each run. If you have any specific questions please feel free to contact us.

Update: 24th March 2020

Following government restrictions put in place on 23rd March 2020, UKA have suspended all athletics activity in England to the 31st May 2020. This unfortunately means that all of our events through to June 1st 2020 are now cancelled.

We will be in contact with anyone who has booked onto May’s events to arrange a refund or re-allocation onto an event at a later date.

Keep safe, stay home, and hope to see you on the trails soon.

Update: 17th March 2020

We are actively monitoring the latest advice and communications from authorities regarding Coronavirus. Today, England Athletics released new guidance following the government’s latest guidance on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The latest guidance contains the following advice;

As a result, England Athletics advises that all face-to-face activity such as club training sessions, events, competitions, club committee and face-to-face meetings, athlete camps, running groups and social events should be suspended until at least the end of April.

Based upon this new guidance, that with deep regret, we are cancelling our upcoming runs. These include;

  • March 25th – Night Running
  • April 10th – Intro Ultra

The health and safety of our runners is of the utmost importance to us and it would be unfair for us to put people at risk by staging our events.

Everyone who has registered for one of these events will receive either a full refund, with fees and costs absorbed by us, or the chance to transfer to an event later in the year.

Trail Running Woodbridge on May 16th and Castle to Castle on May 30th will remain on sale for the time being until we have further information and guidance, however please be rest assured that if you register for either of these events, you will have the refund policies as stated on this page.

We care about delivering a service and events for our runners that is of the highest quality, which is why we’ve made the decision to currently lift our refund policy during these unprecedented times.

We encourage you to read the full guidance from England Athletics – https://www.englandathletics.org/athletics-and-running/news/coronavirus-statement/

Stay safe and keep healthy.

15th March 2020

Following the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak we are actively monitoring the situation, following government and England Athletics advice, to ensure the safety of runners and staff at our events.

At the moment all of our events will be going ahead as usual due to the small group size and these being outdoor events that are held away from other people. In the event that you’re unable to make one of our upcoming events due to illness, or if we have to cancel an event, we will offer a refund in full or the opportunity to transfer to another future event at your discretion.

Please read England Athletics statement and advice on Covid19 here – https://www.englandathletics.org/athletics-and-running/news/coronavirus-statement/

We will keep you updated should these circumstances change.
