Framlingham
The ancient Market town of Framlingham, voted ‘Best place to live’ in 2006 by Country Life magazine, is a located to the West of the A12 between Aldeburgh and Southwold.
The Town
The perfect location for a quiet getaway, Framlingham’s Market Hill offers hotels, cafés, pubs and shopping with a local produce and collectables market on Tuesday and Saturday. To the North of the town is Framlingham’s 12th century castle, standing tall and overlooking Framlingham Mere and the grounds of Framlingham College. The castle shot to fame in 2017 as the subject of Ed Sheeran’s “Castle on the Hill” hit, Ed himself grew up in the town and lives not too far away.

The trails surround the Mere and castle are not to be missed. Just outside of the town centre, we can take you on guided runs with spectacular views. Framlingham itself is surrounded by rolling countryside with plenty of tracks, footpaths and trails ready to be explored.
