Don't Fail to Prepare

In the world of ultras and marathons preparation is everything. From sussing out the route to ensuring that you have enough kit and nutrition to get you thorough your challenge. Intro to Ultra will help to you to prepare, ensuring that you've accounted for the basics to give yourself the best chance of completion.

Get The Most Out of Your Kit

Ultra kit can be complicated. Races often have mandatory kit with special requirements. We're here to make it easier. We'll go over the different types of kit that you'll need, from looking at different features, to getting the right size pack, how to pack your pack and different shoes for different terrains.

For Runners of All Abilities

Intro the Ultra is for anyone looking to take on the challenge of an ultra marathon. No matter what your running ability and whether it's your first, or you have a few under your belt, there will be something for everyone. We'll be on hand with tips and tricks to help you take on your new challenge.

Everything Ultra

We'll go over any questions that you have and cover everything ultra. From getting the most out of your GPS watch, navigation and reading routes to nutrition; when to eat and what to eat through to recovery after your ultra marathon.

This will be a social run, not a race, with lots of opportunities to stop and ask questions.  We recommend that you have a good level of fitness and are able to run for 15 miles/24km at approximately 11 min/miles.

The route takes in a variety of terrain from forests, fields, tracks and trails. There is a some elevation and we keep the road running kept to a minimum.

We have a list of recommended kit available here –

We would recommend carrying at least 1 litre of water for this run as we’ll be out on the trails for a couple of hours at a time before replenishing supplies.

We’ll send an email during the week before the run with all of the information that you need. If you haven’t received any information two days before the run, please contact us.

Be Ultra prepared for your next challenge
