This will be a social run, not a race, with lots of opportunities to stop and take photographs. We recommend that you have a good level of fitness and are able to run for 7 miles/12km at approximately 13 min/miles.
The route takes in a variety of terrain from forests, fields, tracks and trails. There is a some elevation and we keep the road running kept to a minimum.
We have a list of recommended kit available here – https://trailruns.co.uk/recommended-kit/
We would recommend carrying at least 1 litre of water for this run as we’ll be out on the trails for a couple of hours at a time before replenishing supplies.
We’ll send an email during the week before the run with all of the information that you need. If you haven’t received any information two days before the run, please contact us.
The day gets underway at 9:15am where you’ll get an introduction to the adventure, what to expect and a brief of the route and terrain.
You’ll head out onto the trails with our Run Leaders who will guide you on our trail run. This is your chance to learn about everything trail running. We’ll take it easy – with a few stops along the way taking in the scenery (don’t forget your camera), talking kit, technique, trail races and everything else in between!
We’ll wrap up our morning’s running and you will have the chance to catch up with everyone over refreshments.
