Discover trail running around Waldringfield & Newbourne
Situated alongside the River Deben, the quiet and picturesque villages of Waldringfield and Newbourne have a network of trails covering a large distance. This trail running adventure takes you across a variety of terrain as we tackle some hills, single track and technical woodland trails. Suitable for all running abilities, this is a social run for runners wanting to experience some brilliant trails and explore the beautiful Suffolk countryside. During the course of the morning we'll head out onto the trails for a 12km / 7 mile run where you'll be introduced to different trail running terrain, given tips and advice on finding routes, mastering technique and the best kit for the trails.

We love to be sociable and we'll be on hand for any running-related questions you may have. From getting the most out of your GPS watch and navigation to running with poles and everything in between. We'll be around afterwards too to catch up over a beer or coffee.
FAQs
This will be a social run, not a race, with lots of opportunities to stop and take photographs. We recommend that you have a good level of fitness and are able to run for 7 miles/12km at approximately 13 min/miles.
The route takes in a variety of terrain from forests, fields, tracks and trails. There is a some elevation and we keep the road running kept to a minimum.

We would recommend carrying at least 1 litre of water for this run as we’ll be out on the trails for a couple of hours at a time before replenishing supplies.
We’ll send an email during the week before the run with all of the information that you need. If you haven’t received any information two days before the run, please contact us.
About the Day
A brief timeline of your running adventure. All timings are approximate and subject to change.
The day gets underway at 9:15am where you’ll get an introduction to the adventure, what to expect and a brief of the route and terrain.
You’ll head out onto the trails with our Run Leaders who will guide you on our trail run. This is your chance to learn about everything trail running. We’ll take it easy – with a few stops along the way taking in the scenery (don’t forget your camera), talking kit, technique, trail races and everything else in between!
We’ll wrap up our morning’s running and you will have the chance to catch up with everyone over refreshments.
